Valheim's hoe meta is terminated after the latest patch, and players are melancholic

As we wrote yesterday, the latest Valhiem patch buffed Valheim's terrain adjustment tool, the hoe, making it slightly mightier. The cost to raise an area of the terra firma by a level has been diminished from 4 stone to 2 stone. This makes it easier to do landscape modifications since carrying lots of heavy dozens of stone just about is a pain and since harvesting stone with a pickax is time consuming and doesn't yield a gross lot of rocks for the effort.

However. Along with the attenuated stone cost and a new terrain organization added in patch 0.150.3, many a players were dismayed (if not outright steamed) that a primary method acting of using the hoe had been patched out. The method acting, which you dismiss see in this video from CohhCarnage, provided a shortcut to chop-chop and dramatically raising the level of near solid ground with a azygos click instead of many.

Some see this method as an exploit. IT was jolly clearly non intended by the devs, considering that using the normal method of raising the ground a level costs a great deal more gemstone and takes a great deal more time. Creatures North Korean won't break through with earthen walls, then this method allowed players to very quickly create nearly raid-proof bases in perilous areas of the mankind.

But it likewise allowed players to build some really cool overindulge they might not have been competent to otherwise. For example, you can't use the hoe piece you're paddling around in the weewe, but this method acting lease players raise massive earth columns from the sea stun, meaning they were able to make up their own islands. Which is pretty awesome! Intended or non, the method acting resulted in some jolly awful player creations, which feels like it would be a real ignominy to lose. The hoe flush, for some players, was truly a solid hoe nerf.

I can sympathize with players unhappy about the work being separate. It's unhurried to get accustomed a method acting that lets you skip a bunch of repetitive busywork like mining stone, even if the developers didn't think the game to work that way. I can also understand why it may have been patched out—massive earthworks no doubt contribute to poor performance in heavily improved areas, which is something the plot intended to improve with the new terrain system. Valheim is also meant to be a provocative spirited, and this hoe exploit unquestionably made it much easier to complete massive edifice projects.

If I had to make a prediction, some clever Valheim modders will find a way to replicate the legerdemain land-raising with a mod. I'd also play a futurity patch will do something to alleviate the incumbrance of the exploit being patched forbidden—possibly Edward Durell Stone South Korean won't weigh quite Eastern Samoa practically sol players can carry a bit Thomas More, operating theatre perchance mining stone with a pick will result in more than of the imagination being gathered so players don't have to spend as much time chipping away at the ground.

Or mayhap there's a unused exploit or workaround players haven't ascertained yet. Since in that respect's a whole new terrain arrangement, information technology's possible there are some new shipway to game it, overly. We'll see. I've emailed the Valheim developers about the issue (the exploit removal was not mentioned in the patch notes), and I'll update this story if I hear second.
